Are you still in contact with them? If you aren’t, with notice the Alumni Relations team might be able to help you circulate invitations and put you in touch with fellow graduates and staff.

We would recommend hosting a small reunion during term time and on a weekday, as facilities such as catering outlets and teaching space will be open (however, we cannot guarantee access to certain spaces). Please check with the Alumni Relations team before committing to a date so we can check the campus calendar. If you would like to host a large-scale event or conference, this can be accommodated year-round by UH Venues.

You might prefer a relaxed event where you can catch up with old friends, you might want to see how the campus has changed over the years, or you might want the opportunity to connect with those in your sector. The Alumni Relations team can help you decide what would work best for your reunion.

The University has different event spaces available, some of which have a hire fee. You may also want some refreshments or a campus tour. You will need to consider how event costs will be covered.

Whilst there is parking available on campus, it is limited for visitors, and you will need to pay to park on campus on weekdays. More information on how to get to Herts, including public transport options, are available on our website.

With plenty of notice, we can guide you through the different options available and help make your reunion a reality. We can help you meet health and safety requirements, accommodate dietary and access needs, and more. .

This is important to do at the start of your reunion in case of an emergency and to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit to Herts.

Hosting a reunion is a chance to make lasting memories. If appropriate, make sure you capture the event by taking plenty of pictures and videos, including a group photo at the end of the day. Just ensure you have everyone’s permission and that you aren’t inadvertently capturing people without their consent! The Alumni Relations team would love to see any pictures or videos you have taken, and we might share them in our monthly newsletter or on social media, so do send them to us.
