If you have qualifications from China, we can review your eligibility for your programme of interest. Just send in copies of your academic transcripts and awards when you make your application. Alongside our UK team, we also have representatives in your country who can assist you with your application.

Regional qualifications and entry requirements

For the majority of our programmes, we typically accept the following qualifications from China:

Point of entry Academic requirements * Language requirements *
Foundation Chinese 2-year Senior High School certificate with 70% or above. IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band.
Undergraduate (year 1) Chinese 3-year Senior High School certificate with 80% or above
or
Gaokao score overall 70%.		 IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Undergraduate (year 2/3) Chinese 3-year College Diploma in related subject area with 70% or above.

SQA HND in related subject area with overall B grade.

BTEC HND in related subject area with overall Merit profile.		 IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Pre-masters Chinese 3-year College Diploma in related subject area with 70% or above.

Chinese 4-year Bachelor degree with 60% or above.		 IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Postgraduate taught Chinese 4-year Bachelor degree with 70% or above. IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depending on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band.
