We welcome applicants from around the world and often accept local country qualifications in line with the course entry requirements. If you have qualifications from Hong Kong, we can review your eligibility for your programme of interest. Just send in copies of your academic transcripts and awards when you make your application. Alongside our UK team, we also have representatives in your country who can assist you with your application.

In order to support our long-term commitment and close relationships in Hong Kong, our staff provide tailored counselling and assistance to prospective students and their parents on all aspects of studying at the 91¿´Æ¬ and the UK, including advice on application processes and documentation, pre-departure briefings, assistance with visa applications and help with securing University accommodation.

Regional qualifications and entry requirements

For the majority of our programmes, we typically accept the following qualifications from Hong Kong:

Point of entry Academic requirements * Language requirements *
Foundation 5 passes at Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) including English and maths.

Completion of forms 4 and 5 in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) 60% in 5 subjects including maths. 		IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band.
Undergraduate (year 1) Hong Kong Advanced Level Certificate (HKALE) or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band
or      
HKDSE English language grade 3 or above.
Undergraduate (year 2/3)BTEC HND in related subject area with overall Merit profile.IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Pre-masters Hong Kong Bachelor degree with a pass at CGPA 2.0/4.0 or above. IELTS 5.5 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Postgraduate taught Hong Kong Bachelor degree with CGPA 2.5/4.0 or above. IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depending on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band 
or
HKDSE English language grade 3 or above.
