We welcome applicants from around the world and often accept local country qualifications in line with the course entry requirements. If you have qualifications from Japan, we can review your eligibility for your programme of interest. Just send in copies of your academic transcripts and awards when you make your application. Our UK team can assist you with your application.

Regional qualifications and entry requirements

For the majority of our programmes, we typically accept the following qualifications from Japan:

Point of entry Academic requirements * Language requirements *
Foundation Japanese Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate with good grades.IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band.
Undergraduate (year 1) Recognised Foundation programme, A levels, IB or USA high school curriculum with good grades (for details of required A level / IB scores please refer to the individual course pages. IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band.
Postgraduate taught Japanese Bachelor degree with 60% or above. IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depending on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band.
