ARCH+
The Architecture + (ARCH+) Research Group is a multi-disciplinary research unit that explores and experiments the possibilities of design within the built environment, with focus on the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Industry.
Architecture + is composed of academics with a strong practice-oriented approach and researchers with an interest in theory and practice of design, speculative design and experimentation. These include junior and senior researchers as well as postgraduate and research students from a variety of disciplines, including sustainable design, net-zero and zero-carbon design, modelling and simulation, algorithmic and parametric design, urban planning and design, resilient communities, construction technology, theory and history of architecture.
The architecture group works closely with the Future Societies Research Centre, Centre for Climate Change Research (C3R) and the Zero Carbon Lab. The group is aligned to the overall UN Global Challenges Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
