April 2015: The School hosted the fourth meeting of the . This series of meetings brings together mathematical physicists based in and around the South East of England. It is partially supported by a London Mathematical Society Joint Research Groups grant. A particular aim is to integrate our doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and visitors into the wider community. Other participating institutions include Kent, Surrey, London City, and Cambridge.

March 2013: The School of Physics Astronomy and Mathematics hosted the , a two day meeting on Integrable Models, Conformal Field Theory and related topics. This was the 17th in an annual series of meetings bringing together the UK and wider European community of researchers in this area. ICFT2013 was supported by the  and the .
