Our aims

To develop a theoretical and practical, socially engaged approach to the study and practice of the media in all its forms illustrating the way in media practices inform all aspects of our lives

To foster a cross-disciplinary collaborative approach to media research promoting the exchange of knowledge and innovative methodologies

To include diverse stakeholders, including from marginalized groups, in research relationships to foster diversity and address imbalances of power

The promotion and development of international relationships and an interconnected network of researchers to foster a greater awareness of global media and communication issues.
