Human Resources

Our human resources (HR) degrees provide graduates with key subject and employability skills, along with an appreciation of the fast-paced and constantly changing sector of Human Resource Management.  See our Student Success booklet 2024.

The HR subject group is involved in teaching, research and related activities in HR and associated areas. Broadly, these are subjects that have a people/human dimension to them in the context of work and employment, including human resource management, training and development, organisational behaviour, psychology and sociology of work, employee relations leadership and management, and international human resource management.

Research interests encompass comparative HR, crossing the academic/practitioner divide in HRM, public sector leadership and management, diversity, industrial relations and trade union studies.

HR and management professions offer some of the most diverse, interesting and fast-paced careers.
